Tobacco smoke, radiation, emissions from vehicles, and/or factory smoke all make the environment very polluted which may cause illnesses to the inhabitants. Apart from avoiding being the source of these pollutants, one must include in the diet foods that are rich in antioxidants such as vegetables and fruits. These antioxidants help flush out the bad effects of free radicals around us.
Sleep is another important factor in maintaining that youthful glow. A well-rested body will give one the strength to fight illnesses and stress. Rest includes not only body rest but relaxing the mind as well. Enough sleep will give the mind the much-needed relaxation before embarking on another stressful day. A good night's sleep breaks the stress cycle and invigorates an individual in the morning.
Compromised immune system is also an important determinant of aging. Once an individual has an immune system that is not functioning the way it should, illnesses are bound to plague that individual. One way to build up the immune system is to exercise daily and eat healthy foods.
Smoking and excessive alcohol intake is two factors that highly affect one's healthy which could lead to early aging. Drinking alcohol is like taking in liquid, which does not have any calorie at all. What it does is add extra pound to the drinker and damage the liver. Smoking, on the other hand, obviously affects the skin. Its effects are easily visible to the eye but then there are graver effects of smoking that are within one's internal organs.
