As people age numerous physical changes take place. The most commonly affected part of the body is our skin. The skin loses its flexibility and the ability to retain water resulting to wrinkling of the skin. There are also changes in the skin's collagen and melanin composition due to over exposure to sun throughout life. If these changes are combined with the sun's harmful UV rays, air pollution, lack of exercise, and improper diet skin will definitely take a turn for the worst. The skin may appear aged and not properly nourished. To combat these harmful effects and prevent illnesses, proper anti aging measures should be followed constantly.

In medicine, external factors are as important as the internal ones. Individuals may be very conscious of the outer effects of aging on one's body thereby forgetting the more important internal factors that bring about change. The external factors are those that can be controlled somehow by an individual. Smoking, lack of sleep, stress, sun exposure, and pollution are considered external factors that bring about unwanted bodily changes. Internal factor, on the other hand, is more serious and irreversible since it is usually a result of one's genetic makeup. So a person who comes from a family of diabetics may eventually end up diabetic himself. Medicines may be able to control the disease but it will not be totally cured. External factors' effects are easily seen because the person's outer appearance will get the brunt of all these changes.

When we talk of aging, skin will always come up as the most important determinant of its effects. Most people get wrinkles on their foreheads, side of the mouth, and even forearms. The signs of aging are the following: wrinkles, uneven skin tone, appearance of age spots, presence of pores, dry, dull and sagging skin.

Even at the young age of 25, certain individuals may be prone to skin aging. This happens to people whom have both the internal and external factors cited above. But it is a good thing that science is there to help individuals with their skin aging problems. There are now anti aging products in the market especially made for the skin battered by harsh condition through the years. There are good products in the market that really improve skin condition, however, there are also those unable to make good their claim.

If one wants to go all-natural, there are many foods that have the needed vitamins to rejuvenate the senile, sagging, and dry skin. Anti oxidants can be found in fruits and vegetables. Vitamin E, B3, and Vitamin B5 is needed by the body to repair the damaged skin. All of these minerals combine to flush out the accumulated effects of free radicals present in the environment.
