Lifestyle can bring about a lot of things to man, including the health-related problems and illnesses he or she may experience during his lifetime. Even if the bodies of mankind have been undergoing changes due to evolution, illnesses and other diseases also evolve and can continue to plague us for thousands of years into the future.
The diet of our ancestors used to be simple, but due to the convenience and fast-paced lifestyle modernity has caused us, our foods are packed with other unnecessary components that may prove to be harmful. Among these are processed foods and sugar that has antibiotics, preservatives, and hormones. Our bodies already contain oxidized fats, free radicals, and cholesterol - components that can irritate the body, and, in the long run, cause harm to the bodily systems. This can lead to different cancers, most notably colon cancer, which is now the second-leading cause of deaths due to cancer in the United States.
It is important to restore health to its optimum levels. To achieve this, toxins and other harmful substances that have accumulated in the body must be eliminated. Toxins can come from our diet, our medications, and the environment that is filled with pollutants. One of the ways to prevent colon cancer is to cleanse the colon or the bowel.
Colon cleansing is a good starting point because majority of the diseases that we suffer from is caused from toxic bowels. The overstaying of food materials in our bowels for long periods of time causes these. If food matter and substances are not eliminated as soon as it has been sapped of nutrients, it will become more putrefied, and, instead of nutrients, it will release toxins. These toxins will make its way to the bloodstream, and eventually, it will spread to the whole body.
When we are constipated, just imagine how much toxins can be produced. If bowels are moved at least once a day, on the average, three complete meals are present in the body and the digestive system. Numerous health-related problems are caused by the inability to eliminate solid food wastes at least once a day. Bacteria and viruses love to thrive in a toxin-filled environment, thus causing many illnesses. Problems with bowel movements can be caused by a complex and unhealthy diet, combined with everyday stress. Mucoid plaque becomes toughened, and the body's defenses against diseases become compromised.
Colon detoxification is one of the first and primary steps to be taken if you are really serious in body detoxification. If an individual still has colon blockages, efforts to expel toxins from other organ systems will be futile, because there would be no way out for the waste materials. Once the colon has been cleaned, further detoxification of other systems such as the digestive, circulatory, and lymphatic system will not be blocked from expelling harmful substances anymore.
